The first color of this design — reinforcement stitches — needs to be embroidered with a thread of the same color as the fabric.
If a water-soluble film is used as an topping stabilizer when knitting fabric is used for embroidery, it is recommended to apply the film after the first color embroidery. And the first color to embroider without imposing a water-soluble film.
If the embroidery is done on a dense non-stretching fabric, you can skip the first color.

The embroidery on white fabric (see photo) is made with reinforcing stitches, which are embroidered with white thread.
